Sometimes I am reminded of the inconvenient fact that I am slowly dying. With each breath, I am reminded, like the ebb and flow of an oceans edge. I know that one day the waves will make their final recession. Never to crash upon the shore again.
Ok, ok…I don’t sit around thinking about death all day. :-) But I’ve always had a fascination with coming to grips, so to speak, with the harsher, and often ignored, realities of life.
Albeit, this may not be anyone’s favorite exercise. Why not try to reflect on the brevity of life every now and again. Maybe in doing so, we will remind ourselves to suck the most out of life today.
